Flock Safety Helps Solve and Stop Crime Through Partnerships with Community and Police

In Georgia alone this year, Flock Safety has helped communities and police departments in the investigations of over 70 crimes ranging from theft and burglary to aggravated assault.

With Flock Safety, neighborhoods can capture the evidence police need to identify and catch suspects while maintaining resident privacy. Partnerships allow neighborhoods to grant police access to footage only in the event of a crime.

Law enforcement agencies like the Duluth Police Department in Georgia are working closely with Flock-protected communities in their jurisdiction to keep them safe.

The Duluth PD together with Flock Safety recently hosted a community event for HOA Board Members interested in learning practical safety tips for their homes.

Fox 5 Atlanta attended the event to learn more about the partnership and how Flock works.

Story from Fox 5 Atlanta:

DULUTH, Ga. (FOX 5 Atlanta) – More neighborhoods are using “Flock Safety” cameras in the metro Atlanta area, and several law enforcement agencies including Duluth police are now on board: neighborhood associations install the cameras, and the devices snap photos of license plates and photograph vehicles coming in and out of subdivisions. If the HOA permits, police agencies can view the surveillance captured if there is a crime in the neighborhood.

Duluth police said several neighborhoods in the city have installed the cameras and established a partnership, after concerns over car break-ins, burglaries and mail thefts.

“Putting a face to the crime helps our investigators,” said Officer Ted Sadowski with Duluth Police. Entering autos and burglaries– it’s very hard to catch the perpetrators in these types of crimes,” he said, explaining that surveillance images can help officers track suspects much quicker.
