Flock is thrilled to announce our fundraise of $275 million, bringing our valuation to $7.5 billion. This investment will allow our team to continue to drive innovation in safety technology, expand research and development, and support U.S.-based manufacturing. 

The financing was led by Andreessen Horowitz, with backing from Greenoaks Capital, Bedrock Capital. Meritech Capital, Matrix Partners, Sands Capital, Founders Fund, Kleiner Perkins, Tiger Global, and Y Combinator also participated. This builds on a year of rapid expansion where Flock surpassed $300 million in annual recurring revenue — reflecting a 70% year-over-year increase.

Advancing Technology for Safer Communities

Since 2017, Flock Safety has built an integrated safety platform that includes License Plate Readers (LPRs), gunshot detection, AI-powered video cameras, and Drone As First Responder (DFR) technology. Our investigative intelligence software helps agencies quickly analyze and act on critical data.

Our technology has contributed to solving numerous cases, including:‍

- Human trafficking in Detroit, MI – Taylor Police Department used Flock’s LPRs to locate and arrest suspects involved in child predation and sex trafficking.

- The Bay Bridge shooting in San Francisco, CA – Newly installed Flock cameras helped California Highway Patrol identify and arrest the suspect within five hours.

- A $12M jewelry theft in Denver, CO – Flock technology assisted in tracking a South American theft ring tied to multiple high-value robberies.

- Increased homicide clearance rates – Cities like Tulsa, OK, and Cobb County, GA, have seen significantly higher solve rates for murder cases with the help of Flock technology.

What’s Next? Innovation and Expansion

With this funding, we are investing in key areas to advance safety technology:

- Investigative intelligence – Nova, our data intelligence platform, is helping investigators analyze multiple data sources more effectively.

- U.S.-made drones – Following our acquisition of Aerodome, we’re preparing to launch domestically manufactured drones in 2025 to support real-time crime response.

- Interoperability – We are committed to breaking down information silos by enabling no-cost data integrations with other safety technology providers.

- Scaling U.S. manufacturing – Our new 100,000-square-foot facility in Georgia will soon be operational to meet growing demand.
