A suspect accused of a string of robberies in Arkansas has been apprehended thanks to the diligent work and collaboration of multiple police departments and their use of advanced technology.
The suspect was first reported when Beebe PD was called for a robbery at a local Dollar General. An eyewitness captured the vehicle description and the state of the license plate, allowing Beebe PD to leverage the Flock system to confirm the suspect vehicle—which was found to have been stolen out of Missouri—and place it on a Hot List, notifying surrounding police departments of the suspect at large.
In the following hours, multiple other robberies occurred in surrounding towns. Subsequently, The White County Sheriff’s Office located the suspect’s vehicle at a Love’s truck stop in Searcy, which led to a vehicle pursuit. At this point, Arkansas State Police took over, ultimately ending with the suspect being apprehended and charged with multiple offenses.
The ability to close this case within the day shows the significant impact that partnerships between agencies and prompt use of technology can have on solving more crime and shaping safer communities, together.
